Island of Flores is emerging as a unique destination in its own right when compared to most of the other islands of Indonesia. Our trips offer more than just the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful beaches and wonderful flora and fauna. You’ll be exploring the island of Komodo and get close acquaintance with the dragons. And not forgetting, a night stay in the magnificent village of Wae Rebo.
Traditional Village of Wae Rebo
The Unesco awarded village of Wae Rebo is a small, located some 1,100 meters above sea level, where the air is cool and the village completely surrounded by panoramic mountains and the dense Todo forest. A night stay in their uniquely shaped house traditionally called Mburu Niang, will allow you to spend time understanding culture, their sustainability and way of life. As part of the humanity tour, you are encouraged to bring some books and clothes for the village children and you can extend your helping hand and assist our team doctor with basic medical checkups and medication for those who are unwell. And yes, of cos, a star gazing night at the village while sipping their famous coffee.
Island of the Dragons
Declared as World Heritage site, The Komodo National Park is formed by three big islands: Komodo Island, Rinca Island and Padar Island. There’s plenty of things to do there aside from just spending time with the dragons. There’s numerous trails to venture, soft sandy beaches and clear blue waters for snorkeling. You will experience boat life with meals provided and enjoy your night stay on deck.
